Tasting Room 

The center of any visit to Tarara is a stop at our wine tasting room where our gracious staff is eager to lead you on your next wine adventure. Whether it's your first time wine tasting or you're a seasoned connoisseur, you will find something new to explore in this comfortable and relaxed setting.

The tasting room is always the best place to find out what our winemaker has been up to. You’ll be able to taste a wide range of our current releases of classic and reserve Tarara wines.  Daily selections include: recent award winners, newly released vintages and/or a seasonal wine selected to accompany the fresh vegetables and fruits you can pick at Tarara.

With each glass, our knowledgeable staff will guide you through the tasting experience – they’ll help you identify the unique flavors and understand the complexities in each vintage and make recommendations for food pairing that will suit your palette.

Come taste with us by the fire in the Bacchus Gallery tasting room, or step outside and relax on the deck overlooking the river.

Senior citizens (62 years or older) receive 15% off wine purchases and 10% off on gift shop purchases every Tuesday. 

U.S. Military Active Duty or Retired (with proper I.D.) receive 10% off any purchase any day of the week.

We accept Cash, Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. We do not accept personal checks but company checks are permitted.

We offer two tasting selections:

The Featured Selection  – wines that appeal to every palette. Five wines are tasted including: 2006 Charval, 2006 Cameo, 2005 Cabernet Franc, 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon and 2006 Wild River Red.
$5.00/per person

The Winemaker’s Select  – includes Tarara’s limited production wines and elegant reserves – for the more discriminating palette. Six wines are tasted – starting with an elegant dry white white, Chardonnay and finishing with 5 dry red wines including our Flagship red wine, Meritage.
$10.00/person
