The Winery Cave

The 6,000 square foot Winemaker’s Cave at Tarara is a natural stop after visiting The Bacchus Gallery Tasting Room. Here, you can learn not only how the cave was constructed but how Tarara’s perfectly balanced wines are constructed....from the crush pad through the aging process.

There’s something primordial that stirs when entering a cave. Maybe it's the quiet ambience, the aroma, dim lighting and ancient feeling, or even the sense of drama that exists inside the earth. One thing is certain, winemakers and wines love it.
