June 25, 2008: Tarara Winery sponsored the 2008 Smithsonian Folklife Festival. Kids participate in the classic form of making wine, grape stomping! At the Smithsonian Folklife Festival that occurred on the National Mall from June 25-29 through July 2-6, Tarara joined the celebration of Texas's music, food, and wine by donating materials to the event.  Texas was the highlight of the festival but Tarara felt at home when the grape stomping began.  Each Fall, Tarara's Great Grape Wine Festival features their famous grape stomping competitions, which mirrored the events that occurred on the Mall.

July 1, 2008: Best Pairing: Wine and Music. Tarara is matching one wine with the designated performer of each 2008 Sounds of Summer Concert.  The concert series occurs 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. every Saturday, July through September. View Press Release
