' Important Changes at Tarara Winery - 2021
Dear Friends of Tarara Winery,
After 32 years as one of the leaders in the Virginia Wine Industry, Tarara will shift its focus toward cultivating its vineyard and the Concert Series. Tarara Winery will continue operating as a vineyard; however, we will not reopen our winery or tasting room operations.

The Hubert Family is deeply proud of the legacy it leaves behind and wishes to thank you all for the great memories. You have celebrated with us so many special occasions from wedding proposals on Proposal Point, special celebrations at the Pavilions and Lakeside Lawn, anniversaries and many days enjoying Tarara wine on the deck or at the Summer Concert Series and so much more. We have enjoyed getting to know you as you became part of the Tarara family.

Like many in the wine industry, Tarara is undergoing a significant transition after a year of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Hubert family is hopeful and excited about the new opportunities and for the role Tarara will continue to play in the wine industry. We could not have done any of this without you, our loyal customers.

We would like to express our gratitude by giving you an opportunity to purchase our wines at discounts we have never before extended. All orders are case sale only (no mixed cases) – all red wines are $180/case and all white wines are $120/case. Online orders can be placed through June 26. (place order here) The last date for pick up is June 26. You can also select to have your wines shipped (FedEx ship charge would apply). Curbside pickup is available every Saturday (May 22 - June 26) from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. This also applies to Vine Club members who have club wine to pick up. The last curbside pickup for all wines orders is Saturday, June 26.

Bow Tie Strategies will continue to produce and manage the Concert Series that will begin July 3 and run through September 25. Visit the concert website at www.tararaconcerts.com or by calling (703) 646-1282 for additional information. We hope to see you there.

Following in the entrepreneurial footsteps of Margaret and Whitie Hubert’s legacy, Tarara will cast a long vision of what is viticulturally possible in the region by taking its vineyard to the next level in biodynamic and viticultural practices through the creation of strategic partnerships with True Algae and The Wine Collective. With True Algae, Tarara will be testing TrueSolum, an organic soil amendment micronutrient, to analyze the impact of an algae-based product on the microbiome of vineyard soils and terroir and assess the reduction of organic canopy disease. More information can be found at www.truealgae.com . Tarara has also joined one of the most exciting new projects in the wine industry, The Wine Collective, located in Baltimore, MD. The Wine Collective is a full urban winery and group of growers and makers from the mid-Atlantic region that come together under one roof to create local, quality-driven, and sustainable wines and vermouth. Customers can continue to drink wines made from Tarara’s grapes by visiting The Wine Collective’s tasting room and Pintxo bar in Baltimore, by ordering online or joining the wine club at: www.winecollective.vin.

We are deeply thankful for all your support throughout these years and hope that you continue enjoying the wines made from the grapes that we so carefully grow. If you have any questions contact info@tarara.com.
Warmly,
The Hubert Family
