We always knew the day would come when one of the major National Wine Publications would realize how awesome Virginia Wine is. We also hoped we would be a part of that...AND WE WERE!!!
For the first time, Wine Enthusiast has rated Virginia wines in the 90's. At the start of last week they released their advance buying guide for the March issue, handing out seven 90 point scores to Virginia wines. We got three of them!!! Woohooo! We received this information just after an awesome weekend with over 500 of our Vine Club members, showing some other great wines. What an amazing start to 2013 we are having!!!
Above and beyond our three 90 point ratings, we received several ratings of 87 points and above, showing just great consistency of killer wines. So, now here you go, the wines and their limited quantities that we have left, released to you until they are gone! The three 90 point wines will have a four (4) bottle maximum per person because we want lots of people to get a chance to try them!
has aromas of toasted graham-cracker crumb, spiced orange marmalade, peach preserves and
wilted rose. It feels slightly pudgy on the midpalate, with a tapering
finish that ends on a buttered-caramel note. —A.H.
